Is there a God answering prayers and performing miracles in the
21st Century?
In The God Factor, John Ashton has gathered a group of fifty
people who believe the answer to this question is yes, and they
explain why in these pages.
The academic interests of these women and men are varied, and include
the areas of physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, medicine
and psychology. Yet these contributors have one thing in common:
they believe there is a God Factor in their lives. Some
of the contributors have come to this realisation through intellectual
insight and argument, others through personal experience and still
others through an experience of prayer. But at the heart of all
their stories is the sense of a tangible, lived experience of God
working in their lives. Ultimately, the breadth of experience and
depth of search revealed in these pieces enrich the reader.
Dr John Ashton is a Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute
and specialises in health and environmental research. He has co-authored
several successful books on these related issues.
